My very first project involving shoes was an assignment in art class. We were tasked with taking a shoe out of its normal environment and portraying it as something else.

I turned a sneaker into a beach scene. After turning in the art project, I threw the pair away because I didn't have space for it. Today, I regret that decision every time anew. This is a reinterpretation of my first project, and I couldn't be happier.
